Co-dependency

My mum did everything for me

Except take care of herself

Turns out that was the only thing

That would have kept the monster away

    1. Thanks dear Sue, they are very much appreciated! πŸ₯° My Mum had her second, or really 3rd stroke in august, and the damage is more extensive that I had hoped. It is a very difficult time for us. Thanks for your prayers! πŸ₯° πŸ’–xx

      1. So sorry to hear that Wendy, I hope and pray for her to recovery, I had a friend with a serious stroke, some years back that left him immobile. But through Rieki, and physiotherapy he regained quite a lot of his speech and mobility with aids, but it did take time.
Sending love and healing thoughts to you all. πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•

      2. Thanks Sue, yes in 2020 after she had her first big stroke, I still had reason to think she would recover more fully. But after this big one, her brain function has deteriorated so badly I have to let go of that hope and accept what is. She has severe function loss and behavioral difficulties, also stemming from unresolved trauma, and scans show four large areas of damage. It’s been a hellish roller coaster for three years now, the past 4 months having been the worst. Medical mistakes and misdiagnoses playing a big part too. Fighting with neurologists over medication and treatment. I am hoping to go to the UK next year for a retreat of sorts and heal my tired heart! Glastonbury perhaps…. πŸ’•πŸ’•

  2. Sending hugs dear Wendy… replying to your last comment, I hope Glastonbury does indeed bring healing to your heart my friend… Being the Carer, I know from experience how mentally draining that can be…
    Sending Love your way x
